Fine detail carving, wood burning and painting of these waterfowl decoys in our own special styles are the trademarks of a Wicks’ carving. We use basswood, white pine, cedar, or jelutong in these and our other carvings.
We also have a limited supply of Butternut wood for 1/4 size carvings. These would be natural, and not painted or woodburned. |

Most North American waterfowl species are available and can be ordered in 1/4 size, 1/2 size, 3/4 or full size (except Canada Geese). The larger birds have hollow bodies and hidden inside is our business card! You may choose a drake or hen, or buy a pair of your favorite waterfowl species.

Our two most popular carvings are a “bug catcher” feeding mallard and a loon with a perch in its mouth.
