From the intro: “The main purpose of the Directory is the furtherance of decoy making, wildlife art and the preservation of each.”

Several black and white photos of old decoys are in the directory. Also a group photo taken by Hy Dahlka, probably in the late 1960s, of Ferdinand Bach, Tom Schroeder, Ben J. Schmidt, Ralph Johnson and Charles Pozzini each holding a sample of their own decoys.

We also have some Old Carving Catalogs, Books and Magazines that we are selling. They cover a wide range of decoy carvings, old-time waterfowling and decoy making, decoy collectors, competitions and exhibitions.

		DECOY COLLECTOR’S GUIDE published by Harold Sorenson, Burlington, Iowa These contain stories and pictures (several in color) of old decoys, hunters, carvers and competitions. Great historical references to waterfowling and decoy making. Pictured are two spiral bound guides; the 1968 Annual and 1977 Annual.

		MASON’S DECOY DUCKS (reprinted in l968 by Decoy Collector’s Guide, Iowa) This 12 page catalog copy is probably from the early 1900s; there are no dates or prices in the catalog. And; WATERFOWL AUCTION BROCHURE at Easton, Maryland 1984 Shows 37 of the old decoys being auctioned at that time.

Kurt Dewhurst and Marsha MacDowell, 1981 MSU Folk Culture Series A historical description of the Folk Arts of Nate Quillen (1839-1908) and Otto Misch (1910-1965), boat builders and decoy makers. Contains several black & white photos of their decoys


	OHIO DECOY COLLECTORS AND CARVERS’ ASSOCIATION 1984 EXHIBITION CATALOG OF ANTIQUE BLACK DUCK DECOYS This was the first in a series of specific decoy exhibitions at Ohio’s annual show. Twenty-eight pages of black & white photos of Black Ducks on exhibit in 1984.

We also have (not pictured) a selection (24) of the NORTH AMERICAN DECOYS; WILDFOWL CARVERS AND COLLECTORS NEWS, a quarterly magazine published by Hillcrest Publications (Byron and Maureen Cheever, Utah). They contain lots of stories about carvers, competitions, collectors, and old-time waterfowlers with many color and black & white photos. We have magazines from 1971 to 1982 with complete sets for 1971, 1974, 1975 and 1978.

A “CATALOG OF THE EXHIBITION” of a selected group of decoys from the extensive collection of Wm. Mackey, Jr. which were shown at museums in Minnesota and Wisconsin in late 1967. Twenty black and white pictures are printed in the catalog.
